As A Public Service...

...the City of Plattsburgh will place warning cones within ten feet of dog litter. Expect to see many such cones around the town.

Don't forget: Watch your step!

Park Back To "Normal"

Someone did a good job of raking up Trinity Park. But it didn't take long for Trinity Dog Park to return.

Beer Bottle Diamonds

Like they say in the ads, a diamond is forever.

The Right Touch For A Pleasant Evening Walk

Warmer weather. Longer days. Spring is on the way. You can walk around with a light jacket instead of being ensconced within a heavy parka.

The ice and snow are gone; getting around on foot is no longer a chore. It's enjoyable.

No more problems making your way down a sidewalk. Little details that add so much to your walk...

City Hall Lawn Decoration

This was probably installed in observance of St. Patrick's Day. It adds so much to the man-made beauty of downtown Plattsburgh.

Nasty Niche On Clinton Street

Don't like this collection of trash and litter? Wait a few days and enjoy a new array at the same spot. It's a chronic condition, part of downtown Plattsburgh's illness.

Plattsburgh Goes Bananas

Both images shot the same day -- March 11, 2010 -- during an afternoon walk.

Trinity Dog Park -- Addendum

There’s no excuse even if you forgot your bag at home.

Trinity Dog Park

Located in "beatiful" downtown Plattsburgh, it provides plenty of room for kids to play. Also, it can be educational for children as they can study the unique ecology found there.

Just a small sample...

Three Things I Hate

Two things I hate:

1. Someone riding his bicycle on a sidewalk as if it's a bike path and he has the right of way, racing by a pedestrian with only a few inches to spare.

2. Dogshit left overnight in the center of a public sidewalk.

Let me add another hate:

3. Dogshit squished by someone riding his bike on a sidewalk.

Lawn Art

In case you hadn't heard, the North Country Cultural Center for the Arts has moved into the Federal Building.

Before entering the building to enjoy a fine exhibition of creativity and taste, be careful not to step into the art scattered all over lawn.

Durkee Diaper Dump

Tragedy was barely averted when a FexEx delivery truck almost squished out the contents of the item pictured above. This intrepid reporter writog stood back at a safe distance when the truck left its parking spot, heavy large wheels just grazing the white package

Looks like the soiled diaper in the street season is starting early. Might as well start on Durkee Street.

Empty Beer Can? Let God Pick It Up

It's not as if the Presbyterian Church on Brinkerhoff Street has enough to rake up with all the dogshit left behind by rude idiots...
