I was ambulating down the sidewalk when a man warned me about watching out for the dogshit ahead. I appreciated the warning but over the decades I've become attuned to dogshit being anywhere in downtown Plattsburgh City, NY. The following images were taken during a fifteen minute walk. The problem has become epidemic lately.

"Lately"?
ReplyDeleteIt's been ongoing for years. This site's first post dates back to 2010.
Of course it's always been a national/world-wide problem as well. I'm sure going back centuries.
The amount of dogshit varies so "lately" refers to a period of peak pooch poop. Back in the late 1970s a local TV station talked about the problem, what a health hazard it was. Apparently the city is waiting for an outbreak of disease before it does something.
